Thank you for visiting my blog. We're trying to still figure out why they denied me. I had all kinds of proof. I had MRI's and CAT SCANS, surgery, reports from my family dr., the surgeon and about 2 other surgeons that refered me to a different surgeon. They all say the same thing, I have too much damage and basically the surgery that they did was to keep me from being in a wheel chair and that going back to work would just mess it up and I would be right back where I started and that there was too much nerve damage, and I will never be pain free.
My reply stated that they felt my weight wasn't a good enough reason to go on disability, cause they seen in my files where my family dr and I were working on my weight, it was like they never looked at any other medical part of my files. I did contact one lawyer and nothing we can do until i get my hearing date and like I said it has been 6 1/2 months. They don't stop to think about us struggling out there with no income and it really upsets me. I did read the blog you posted today and I really liked it. Sounds like you are on the right track and some real good advice to. thank you. melissa 2647 days ago
Iíve belonged to a lot of teams here on spark-- i really do believe that the Emotional Eaters team is one of the very best, itís a great group of people- very supportive and encouraging-- and it is very refreshing to talk with people who "get" what you're going through!!
Check out the main page of the EE team- there are ďstickiedĒ topics you may be interested in to get involved- a buddy thread, a place to introduce yourself, weigh-in challenge, a birthday post.
Spark has a lot of great tools, and you will learn which ones work best for you. The best tools are the people tho, always willing to lend a hand, an ear, or a shoulder. Iíve been here for over a year now, and I still am overwhelmed, every day, by the kindness and goodness of others on this team!! That has made a world of difference for me. I hope you have the same success!
You can do this!!!!! I'll be the first person to admit that this sometimes seems a daunting task, but Spark is a great place to grapple with the things that keep you from your goals. I have found that the keys to keeping at it are the people you associate with (look for people with specific goals and a plan... check out some of my friends... they are an awesome bunch!!!), subscribe to a few blogs that have the ability to get you excited and really help you think through your own process (I recommend CJROMB, VEEJAY3, BOTZZZ... Oh, and of course, mine! :) tee hee), and just a couple of really active informative and focused teams - too many can distract you from what you want to accomplish (Check out the 'DONE Being the Fat Girl' team and 'Calorie Cycling'... the links are on my page). I also regularly look through the 'favourites' saved on people's pages... I've developed quite the library on my own page as a result... these articles have really helped me figure out what will/not work for me in the long run... especially the articles on nutrition and eating to build muscle and burn fat.
Okay! Enough of the novel... welcome, have fun, and holler if you need anything!
