This is the day that the Lord has made, I will rejoice and be glad in it. . .

Handspun yarn from dyed wool, I dyed the primary colors, then blended them for this color study

This is an English Angora rabbit; cute, cuddly, and addictive!

I have 15 pics in my gallery

Homesteader, No Longer in the City
After seven years of caring for my mother in town, I'm back on the farm. A homeschool teacher starting the 10th year, my focus on other things has changed, especially after my sojourn in town. While I used to be a full time farmer before the move, now that I'm back I'm content to be a teacher, wife, mother, and small scale homesteader. Teaching is taking up much more of my time now, and I feel that's a worthwhile investment. My goal for this year: move more, grow more ...
My goal for this year: move more, grow more healthy food, eat intentionally. And mostly, TAKE THE ADVENTURE! Happiness is a choice, success is a choice, not an event. It's not in circumstances, but in what you choose to do with them. Each day is a gift, live it to the fullest!

My Goals:
1. For 2008, I've decided to quit complaining about what I can't do, and do what I can! For 2009, I've decided to take action against those things that are holding me back. Those things I thought I couldn't do, by breaking them down into things I can choose to do. 2010: Life is an adventure, do what you can! 2011: JUST DO IT! This is the year to put together what I've learned, and see progress in the right direction! 2. Long term, I want to be able to hike the Appalachian Trail with my husband.
My Program:
1. Mentally: do things to stimulate the mind. Choose to do one "hard" thing each day, and get it done. 2. Physically: water walk more watch what I eat 3. Spiritually: Christianity was never meant to be a religion, it is a relationship. My ultimate goal is to grow stronger and closer in the relationship with my Lord. To grow in love with Him who is Love. new memory verse/week complete reading through Bible with son re-learn Hebrew letters
Personal Information:
I love the woods, country living, herbs, fiber arts (spinning, quilts, etc.), hiking, camping, and nature in general.
Other Information:
I heard one definition of success from William Feather, "Success seems to be largely a matter of hanging on after others have let go." Don't give up, even when the going seems slow. Little nuts don't become mighty oaks in a day, or a year, or a decade. But what they lack in speed, they make up for in persistence! So, we're not going to give up!
