Hi Friends! This is from the beginning of my journey.
I am Angie! I am so excited to be using this website!! I have lost 94 pounds and have decided to try to maintain while I get used to some new medication I was put on recently. I had a tough summer in 2013, but I am back on my way to a healthy lifestyle. Welcome to my journey.
2012 was a year were I maintained my weight, but didn't exercise much. Starting in November I took the AIM-HI (Americans in Motion-Health Intervention) class at a local clinic. It was the jump start I needed for 2013!! It focuses on Nutrition, emotions and activities. What a great opportunity!!
2013 started off better than 2012 ended. I started and finished the Shape Up Montana Program. I was on a team doing the activity program. I walked over 200 miles from February 1st through May 1st. Wow! I never thought I could do that! I love to walk, but wasn't able to do much of it after my knee surgery. Well, on February 1st I started doing 10 minutes a day. Then I would go for 15 and so on. I can walk for 30 minutes without stopping. I currently can walk a mile in 19 minutes. I am trying to get that down to a 15 minute mile, so I can walk 2 miles in 30 minutes.

I had a really hard summer. I spent most of it in the hospital. My mental illness really got the best of me. I am getting on the right track now and am glad to be back on SP. I really missed the site and all my friends on here. I am not up to walking yet, but I am working on my eating for now. Trying to track my food is hard after not doing it for over 3 months. And of course not eating very healthy! I am still in Onederland. I plan to stay there and eventually go lower than my 187 pounds as of today.
Update: It is Black Friday. You won't catch me shopping today! Most of my shopping is done. Now the mailing begins! I am doing well with my weight. I must not have eaten too much yesterday and I got enough sleep, which helps with weight loss. Holidays are hard for me with not much family in town. Most are 2 to 8 hours away. Miss my Mom and Dad. They are no longer with us. Loving having a 4x4 vehicle in this weather and with the roads as they are here in Billings, Montana. I am still excited to be on Spark People. Hoping to get down to Onederland again in 2016. Maybe even lose more than last time. I was down to 199 and I would like to lose more this time. I didn't gain back all my weight that I had lost. My goal is to keep off the weight I lose this time and maintain. I need to exercise more and eat better. I love junk food. Thanks for reading about my journey!! Angie
My new goal is to walk a mile in 15 minutes. Another goal is to use my resistance bands regularly for strength training and make sure I stretch each day. The walking will help with my bone density, which I really need.
I finished the Shape Up Montana program. I walked 200 miles from February 1st to May 1st! I never thought I could walk so much again. I continue to surprise myself with continued distance and weight loss!
I am a 50 year old thriver!! I have lived through some terrible bouts of depression and am here to say...you can do it too!! I am one of 7 children. My parents are no longer here on earth, but watch over me from Heaven. I have so many guardian angels in Heaven!! I love life! My friends and family are part of my support system! I get together or talk to them as much as I can! Thanks also to all my Spark Friends! You are the best!!
I love to read, watch movies, scrapbook, make cards, visit with my family and friends. I am so thankful to have so many wonderful Spark Friends!! You are great!

I try to post every day if I can. Somehow time slipped past quickly yesterday, but I got in a shortie. Here's what happened.
It was a nice holiday for me. We went to try out a new place to get our haircuts...and we like him. Actually, he is my classmate whereas we used to go to my hubby's classmate who retired on a whim! Anyway, we got our haircuts, then got some groceries and lunch at Ishihara Market, then headed home. Our granddaughter spent the day (and night) with us, so didn't have time to do much sparking. That's why yesterday's blog was such. Anyway, we cleaned our house because tomorrow we have a baby shower to go to. So.....our schedule has been adjusted a little, but it's all good. Laundry is in the dryer because it started to rain! Boo hoo. That's okay too.

No worries, Angie. I do my best to read the blogs, and it's the way to keep up with what's going on. Some days I have more time than other days. I'm so glad that you're one of my spark friends who have responded to my blogs. I've made a few friends through spark people, and one of them is you!

Thank you for reading my blogs. Yes, I do read yours too! Sometimes I can sneak in some time to spark during the day, but sometimes if I'm really busy at work, I wait until I get home. Today (Friday) is a holiday, and it's now 11:00 am. I think we're four hours behind you.
You are one of my constant spark friends and I look forward to hearing from you.
