I have used every excuse one can think of, as to why I could not exercise or eat healthy.

I am done with excuses, they never got me anywhere, and left me feeling frustrated and unhappy with myself.

I deserve to feel good about myself. I deserve to be healthy, and I deserve to be fit. I am the only one who can make that possible, and I will work hard to attain it.

In February 2009, I ran my first marathon. This is something I would never, ever have imagined myself doing. I always thought running, and especially marathons, were for super athletic individuals, who had been running for a long time.

I trained hard for 7 months, and met a once perceived, unattainble goal.

I am hooked on running, and even more motivated to meet future goals.

I still have weight to lose, and new fitness goals to achieve, and with tons of hard work and determination, I know I will get there.

My Goals:
1 have run 9 marathons.

My best time was 4:29:33, at the OC Marathon 2010.
My worst time was 6:14:22, at the Nike Women's Marathon 2011.

In 2012, I hope to let my body recover from all the running I have done.

I want to concentrate more on shorter races and improving my time.

I hope to put more focus on yoga and strength training.

I also hope to climb Mt. Whitney and do a few backpacking trips.


My Program:
I am currently training for a half-marathon, and hoping to beat my best time of 1:57.

Speed training (track)-2x/week

Yoga-at least once per week

Strength training-2x/week

1 weekend long run
