Still Going Strong

Hello Everyone! My name is Mary and I live in the Midlands and I have lost weight and gained weight! Just turned 40 this year and promised myself that I want to be healthier and lose weight the right way this time. I work full-time and am in school full-time but I make time every morning to exercise to get my day off to a great start!! I am happily married with no children and just want to be a fit and fun loving wife!
Found this site and hope that it will help me to reach my goals! ...

Update:
Celebrated one year here on SparkPeople and I have continued to go strong despite some setbacks this year with injuries!
I am consistently tracking and exercising and making all efforts to stay connected to those who provide motivation, encouragement and support which is what I have found here with SparkPeople! This website has played a major role in pushing me to stay on track even when I fall and I realize that I don't fall far but it can be easy to get off track without others there encouraging you to keep going!
The weight has been slow to come off but I know that this is the best way! There are some good days and there are those bad days; but I work hard to let the GOOD outweigh the BAD!! :)
Will continue to stay focused on a healthy lifestyle which will allow me to reach my goals!
Thanks to everyone that has provided me with motivation, support and encouragement!
Will keep sparking!!

"There are admirable potentialities in every human being.
Believe in your strength and your truth.
Learn to repeat endlessly to yourself, 'It all depends on me.'"

Thanks for commenting on my "Pity Party" blog. I appreciate the support and encouragement. I got lots of great feedback and it has given me plenty to think about and consider. One thing I know is that I will never give up on trying to reach my goal, even if I have to change my approach. Have a great day!

"Do not let your fire go out, spark by irreplaceable spark.
In the hopeless swamps of the not quite, the not yet, and the not at all,
do not let the hero in your soul perish and leave only frustration for the life you deserved, but never have been able to reach.
The world you desire can be won, it exists, it is real, it is possible, it is yours."
-Ayn Rand

"Sometimes victory seems so far away because we measure it only by the goal. And end goals can seem overwhelmingly huge, daunting, and just plain hard to reach. But if we start measuring our victories by the smaller choices we make each day, victory won't seem so impossible.....
It's amazing the chain reaction that can start in your life with just one good choice.
Big things are built one brick at a time.
Victories are achieved one choice at a time.
A life well lived is chosen one day at a time.
Oh sweet friend, you are closer than you think to victory!"

Be your own hero, one choice and one step at a time! You might not see visible signs of progress right away, but as long as you keep doing your best, you will make progress and you will be victorious! I'm rooting for you! Remember, you're worth your best effort!
Hugs,
Pixie

“The difference between stepping stones and stumbling blocks is not in the event itself but how you think about it and what you do after it.
Every failure and setback can become part of your success or an excuse for quitting or failing.
People who develop the discipline of positivity are both happier and more successful."
-Michael Josephson

"Part of abandoning the all-or-nothing mentality is allowing yourself room for setbacks.
We are bound to have lapses on the road to health and wellness, but it is critical that we learn how to handle small failures positively so that we can minimize their long-term destructive effects.
One setback is one setback—it is not the end of the world, nor is it the end of your journey toward a better you.”

"It is rewarding to find someone you like, but it is essential to like yourself.
It is quickening to recognize that someone is a good and decent human being, but it is indispensable to view yourself as acceptable.
It is a delight to discover people who are worthy of respect and admiration and love, but it is vital to believe yourself deserving of these things."
~Jo Coudert

"My invitation to you is to begin living every moment as though you are miraculous and deserve to live an extraordinary life.
Fake it if you must and keep faking it until it’s real to you. The gift you will be giving yourself is a lifelong journey of discovery, one that is infinite and infinitely rewarding. Begin the journey. Today. This moment. Now."
-Robert White
