One day at a time.

I am a happily married 31 year old mother of two. I have a son who is 6 and my daughter is 4. My family and friends mean everything to me and I would like to be with them for a while. I want to lose weight, so I can be active with my kids how I used to be, be around to meet my grandchildren, and feel good about myself again. I also want my children to learn how to live healthy lifestyles, so they can live long, healthy, happy lives.

My Goals:
I want to lose 129 lbs, get fit, and be the healthiest I have ever been in my life.

My Program:
I am going to take it one day at a time. I am going to eat healthy, exercise daily, and do my best to enjoy every day as a new healthier day. I am also setting shorter term goals to meet my long term goal.
Goal 1: 190 lbs
Goal 2: 160 lbs
Goal 3: 140 lbs
Goal 4: 120 lbs
Goal 5: 115 lbs
Goal 6: 113 lbs

Baby steps and small victory's add up to SWEET SUCCESS.

Start tiny, use that pedometer, it's been a huge help to me. Find ways to increase your steps. USE every tool you have and all the helps here on the site including people.

Celebrate your victory's and acknowlege the bumps in the road but then move back on to the goals. Goals aren't set in stone...adjust, re-evaluate, determine what you are immediately capable of doing or changing and then always think about adjusting, re-evaluating and setting new challenges. I think people start out very hard and with the giant goals which isn't a great way to set yourself up for SWEET SUCCESS!

Start small, celebrate often!

Congrats on taking the first step into changing your life to a more healthier one by joining the site. Spark is filled with amazing people that will motivate, support and encourage you on your journey. There is so much to learn and discover here, take this one day at a time. A couple of things I would like to suggestion to make you Spark experience a great one.

1. Make goals for yourself. Each month I make a list of what I want to accomplish that month and break them down to smaller goals to work with week by week. This way the BIG picture doesn't seem so big.

2. Join Spark teams. There are tons of teams here and you will be able to find ones that fit to what you like or want in a team.

The key to success here is to be active and you've already started by joining. You will find that everyone is willing to help you out if you need it. Spark friends are here for support, motivation and encouragement. Good luck on your journey to a healthier lifestyle! Again, welcome to the SP family!

My little boy just turned 5 yrs old. :) He is my biggest motivation, too.. I want him to learn to eat healthy and enjoy regular exercise. He's enjoying my daily Dance Parties.
