I am a mother to 3 wonderfully rotten kids ages 12, 8, and 7. I am recently married to an amazing guy who truly loves me for who I am. I teach high school in a smallish school in central Arkansas. I started this journey a few years ago and lost about 50 pounds after that my motivation faltered and I kept gaining and losing the same 10-15 pounds. Last summer my mother passed away suddenly from lung cancer (that no one was aware she had). I spent a few months extremely depressed trying to come to terms with her passing, during which time I started putting on weight again. The end of October, i decided it was finally time to make this happen for real. Since then I have lost 82 pounds and 127 pounds from my all time high. I still have a lot of work to do before i reach my goal but I know i will get there. Hope to hear from you.

Go from morbidly or super obese BMI to normal BMI. ( already dropped from 51.2 to 33.5)..

Stay off soda...that stuff is just poison to the body.

I completely quit soda (10-25-11) because I was not willing to let a drug control my life any longer.

I am eating healthier but mainly practicing portion control.

I am also working on consistently being active, not only with regular exercise but in all aspects of my life.

    Thanks for the goodie! I see you have joined C25K. Fantastic! It took me a long time to feel comfortable running, but it finally happened and I can actually, truthfully say now I enjoy it. Who knew?! You're making great progress -- congratulations!!

    Thanks for stopping by my page! Sorry I have been MIA for a while. I have been completely off since about mid-May. I was planning to use my summer freedom to lose a ton of weight but all I have been doing is sitting around eating. I have gained back 20 of the 52 lbs I had lost. I lost my motivation and I'm trying to get it back. This morning I went for a walk (the most exercise I've done in a LONG time), so hopefully that's a step in the right direction!

    thanks for reading/commenting on my blog - my best advice for you, since you are signed up for the GR is to bring LOTS of water. I couldn't believe the lack of water. I didn't mention in my blog, but there were also people vomiting from being so hot/dehydrated. I usually always have tons of water on me, but this time, we only had a bottle for each of us - big mistake. Hope your run turns out much better than this one did!
