(With all due respect to the fantastic lyrics of the Beatles, I'm going to have to serenade you with my Karaoke version of Across the Universe...)

Sounds of laughter shades of life
are written in the message boards
exciting and inviting YOU
Limitless undying love which
pours upon you like a million suns
From done girls on and on across the Spark-iverse

Glad you came to join the team...
Done Girls gonna change your world
Done Girls gonna change your world
Done Girls gonna change your world
Done Girls gonna change your world
Glad you came to join the team...
Glad you came to join

(The Done Being the Fat Girl team).
I look forward to getting to know you! :D

where did i start.....
i started by thinking. about myself. what i could do, couldnt, wouldnt. i had a lot of things i wouldnt do. i wouldnt starve myself, make too many rules, tell anyone until i was sure i could do it. [i didnt tell my fiance until i had lost 50lbs. yes, it was barely noticeable that i had lost 50lbs.]

i began with exercise. food is an issue for me, will always be an issue. i began with exercise and water. just began walking and drinking water. later i added in tracking my calories. didnt have a set calorie goal, just tracked what i ate.
later, i began staying around 1500 calories.

i ate what i wanted. [im doing low carb, right now. thats why the past tense.] at first, i let myself eat as much fruits and vegetables as i wanted and didnt track calories. then i began to track them. other than that, i didnt have a plan. i ate what i wanted. if i wanted a king sized milky way, i had it. and i often did. if i went over my calories, no flogging. i didnt fail. i just went over my calories. :o)

just, small steps. progress, not perfection. there has never, ever been a perfect day. i never get in a perfect workout, the food is never spot on. but what matters is that you just keep going.

i have a different take on a lot of things that goes around spark. they are: dont wait for motivation. motivation is a crutch. if i waited to be motivated to lose weight, id still be 284 pounds.
and, there is no wagon to fall off of. there is just life. good days, bad days... just life. if you think that you've fallen off of a wagon and therefore failed, you're just setting yourself up for a self-bashing party.

this past year, ive been struggling a lot.
we moved, had 4 deaths in the family... so i went low carb and it really changed the way i look at food. the way i feel around food, the way i feel about food.
its not for everyone, but its really worked for me.

the main thing is to never ever give up. you will get there. i hope this helped and im always, always here if you need anything.
