On September 10, 2012, my mom suddenly died from a heart attack. She was in good health, there were no signs or symptoms, and she was only 59. Now both of my parents, grandparents, aunts, and uncles have all passed. I do have my beautiful 8 year old daughter. I am obese and I do not want my daughter growing up without me. I do not want her to be alone. I must do all I can to become as fit as I can be, to enjoy life with her while it lasts, and be a better role model for her.

My Goals:
February Goals:

*Make it to "One-derland" please please please!! LOL

*Eat healthy home cooked meals routinely and only eat out 1-2 times this month.

*Increase activities with my daughter that require physical activity.

*Exercise for a minimum of 24 / 28 days.

*Increase activities generally (ie outings, cleaning house, etc).

*Hit 1000 fitness minutes this month.

*7-8 hours of sleep each night.

*6-8 glasses of water per day.

*Increase protein, decrease carbs still within my range.

*Be more consistent with my ST program.

*Maintain daily calorie deficit of 500-1000 cals daily.

My Program:
I love riding on my stationary bike right now with the cold weather. I crank up the music and try to race my previous achievement. I also try to work in strength training in the evenings at least 2-3 times per week. I am starting slow and building up as I find balance and motivation.

Personal Information:
I'm 35, a single mom to my darling 8 yr old daughter, and an elementary school teacher. I got into a rut for several years making excuses for why healthy living wasn't "do-able" for us, but am waking up to a new day and getting rid of the excuses.
