I've been on the losing weight rollercoaster for way too long. I think I have finally figured out that my biggest issue is consistensy. I start out fine for a week or so and then lose my motivation. I really believe that I either need to attend some kind of meetings or find a buddy here for support. I've tried using Sparkpeople in the past but never found it easy to find somone here to connect with and buddy up with. I've decied to give it another go and am using the new start page to help me to find someone who may want to buddy up. My weight is now causing health issues and I am tired of feeling down on myself. It's time for me to stop whining and complaining about what I can control and change and just do it! So.... here I go again! Hope to find some new friends and connections here!

My Goals:
My major goals are to lose 45 pounds, reduce my blood pressure and cholesterol and exercise 4+ times a week.

I just want to feel healthier and better about myself.

My Program:
I am making healthier food choices and eliminating the junk from my house. Wathcing portion sizes and planning ahead are really important to my success. I am trying to incorporate more fruits and veggies into my meals.

My plan is to get cardio exercise 3 times a week. In between, I plan to do some strength training at home. As time goes on I hope to increase my cardio workouts to 4-5 times a week.




Personal Information:
I am currently living on the Jersey shore with my husband of 28 years. We have 2 wonderful young adults attending college and living at home. We own a small business that is very succussful and demanding of my time. I love to walk on the boardwalk or at our local reservoir weather permitting.

Other Information:
The only one who has the power to change me, is me!


I can accomplish anything I set my mind to with ease and comfort.

Sorry it took me so long to get back to you. My 91 year old dad had knee replacement surgery on Jan. 20th. He developed some other small health issues during his stay in rehab. We brought him home last Saturday. He lives with us. I thank God for my husband who cares for him while I go to work. Of course food has been my constant companion. I just keep gaining. Today I said ENOUGH! I would love to team up with you and hopefully together we can tackle our challenges!
