I woke up on April 12th, 2010 and decided I wanted to be healthy. So here I go.

5/12/10 Today marks one month since I joined SparkPeople and started down this road. As of two days ago I am down 11 lbs. I haven't noticed a difference in the way I feel or the way my clothes fit yet, but I'm hoping that will come soon.

My Goals:
I just want to be healthy. I have had high blood pressure lately that I am controlling with medication, and I would like to be at a point where I am off those meds and have a healthy blood pressure on my own.

Of course I also want to look and feel good!

I want to mark milestones along the way to my ultimate goal, but I am not going to set time limits on them -- that would be way too stressful and I am afraid I would give up too easily if I didn't meet a deadline. So instead I will list out each milestone and then add the date on which I met it:

My Program:
I'm paying more attention to what I eat and slowly adding exercise. I work full time and am in grad school at night so I don't have a lot of free time to work out -- I try to go for walks with the boys I nanny and I'm attempting the twohundredsitups plan.
