I am a 27-year-old female living in the outskirts of Philly. I live with my fiance, three cats, and a wee corn snake. We got engaged at the end of this past April, and are easing into planning our September wedding.
(I DO blog over at http://againstthegrain2013.blogspot.com/)
Ultimately I want to be fit and look fabulous. I can't deny that there is definitely a narcissistic bent to my motivation, but seriously, most of us would be lying if we said we worked out ONLY to get healthy ;)
I love make-up and vintage-style dresses, and play video games and tabletop role-playing games; I like to think of myself as a glam-geek hybrid, though more often than not you'd recognize me as the girl-next-door.
I like my music loud and my windows down.
I'm partial to tattoos and piercings, and people who are just plain interesting.
I've been told on more than occasion, by multiple people, that I've got a bit of a gypsy soul, and even though it often generates a wealth of restless energy, I've embraced the sentiment.
- Don't take life too seriously
- Laugh often
- Love unconditionally
- Treat my body as the finest temple around
- Forgive myself
THE DIFFERENCE BETWEEN WHO YOU ARE AND WHO YOU WANT TO BE IS WHAT YOU DO.

ACK! Girl, you remind me of me!!! Just about the only differences are I'm 24 and live in Texas with my fiance, our 2 kids, my nephew, and our cat. I love vintage style clothes and make-up, I have three tats with plans for a sleeve soon, and am a gamer chicka too (when I have time)! I must add you, I've just started on SparkPeople and don't have many friends...

Hi Pintsized - thanks for visiting my blog and for your comments. I was vegetarian for 2 years, but never lost the daily craving for meat - I really tried. Since I have gone off grains and refined carbs, I have no cravings at all - almost weird. Find what works for you though - its a journey, not a destination.

Ha, well The Primal Blueprint is an investment that will save you lots of money on doctor's visits down the road, so it's totally justifiable.
I'm going back to school to get my PhD studying the little corner of the scientific world where geology and microbiology overlap, so I'll be studying bacteria that grow in really harsh conditions. My dream job down the road would be to work at one of the NASA research centers and be involved in missions looking for signs of life on Mars or one of the moons in the outer solar system. I am such a geek, hehe, but I'm really super beyond excited about going back to school for this stuff!

Hey! I'm doing well. Majorly slacking on updating Spark People, but I've still been working hard. The hubby and I have been working hard on our yard the past couple weeks, so I haven't gotten a chance to run as much as I would like, but we did participate in The Color Run a couple weeks ago which was fantastic. I really need to update my page! How are you doing?
