One Day At a Time

I'd been writing and dieting all my life with little success. In 2006 I found SparkPeople and embarked on a healthy lifestyle. In 2007 I got a two-book deal with Simon & Schuster. Read about it at www.ellenewmark.com

Whoo Hoo!

Never, Never, Never, Never give up.

My Goals:
My goal is to be fit and healthy.

My Program:
I stay in my calorie range, drink lots of water and I walk two to three miles on the hilly terrain around my house in southern California every day. Well, almost every day.

Personal Information:
My name is Elle. My two greatest passions in life are travel and writing. I've visited every continent and written four books but I feel like I've just scratched the surface. I hope to die of terminal jet lag after a year long book tour around the world at the age of 90.

I've always been a writer, I'm married and have two grown children, both wonderful, and five grandchildren, all cherubs. The paper sculptures in my photo gallery were done by a talented artist named Peter Callesen. Enjoy!

Other Information:
My first novel, The Book of Unholy Mischief, is set in Renaissance Venice and dedicated to teachers. because they are the bedrock of civilization.

My second novel, The Sandalwood Tree, is set in India. Twin love stories, 90 years apart, set against a backdrop of war-torn India.

Both books are published by Simon and Schuster

My first juicer (ever) has just arrived. I got this one: amzn.to/gKSonO
in white/8004 (chrome/8006) because it was cheaper and I prefer white. It also has newer stronger auger then the 8005, that was the deciding factor.

I just made my first carrot/apple juice... and it's shockingly delicious. Never would I have believed it was this good, if I hadn't tasted it myself! The bitter part must be in the skin/pulp? It was like liquid sugar... one apple to 5 large carrots.

Now I wonder about recipes, it has all these attachments plus a blank thingy for mincing... mincing what I don't know...lol
