The Journey is Worth the Trip

Been on SP for a while now. Lost and gained and lost and gained a few pounds here and there, but the progress is overall downward. Found intermittent fasting in 2013, lost weight- was only 11 pounds from goal. Went on the road in 2014, lost my father and my husband diagnosed with same, dreadful disease... Lost my way for awhile, but I wanted to get to goal (136#)in 2015. Here we are moving into 2016 and I gained AGAIN. So back to being more regimented and actively work a 4:3 fasting program. ...

Lost my way for awhile, but I wanted to get to goal (136#)in 2015. Here we are moving into 2016 and I gained AGAIN. So back to being more regimented and actively work a 4:3 fasting program. We have landed in Cape Coral, Florida for now. I've had significant relief from the arthritis in my knees and feet after having lost weight. So I know this is the best bet. Florida is such a flat land, so I need to up my game to get the benefits I use to have from walking my hills in Duluth, Minnesota. Will continue to make the most of my retirement.

Left the Dukan Diet behind and moved more towards plant based organic eating to get to goal weight by summer.

It has been a long struggle for me. I am still struggling along trying to lose the weight. I have given up pop, which was hard to do since I drank it like water every day. I cut my portions down, however, some days I eat more than I should. I eat more fruits and vegetables. I watch my calories closely by tracking them every day. I have my days when I do eat a cookie , brownie, ice cream, etc. I just watch how much I eat and figure it in my calories. I did have a bad spell where I gained some weight back and I'm trying to lose it again. I've been yo-yoing with the same few pounds for the last couple of months. My exercising isn't what it was either since my back has been bothering me. I am very limited to what I can do right now. Basically, I do back exercises and that's about it. I'm hoping I can kick it up a notch though so that I can get back on track with my weight loss.

Great to hear from you emoticon I'm still here, though not really focused :( Hope all is well with you and you keep going! Woohoo!!..have to get back on track. Just came back from a cruise and definitely gained weight! Besides of that work is just crazy. Hopefully the next weeks will be better and I'll be able to lose a bit before Christmas. emoticon emoticon
