The Journey is Worth the Trip

Been on SP for awhile now. Lost and gained and lost and gained a few pounds here and there, but the progress is overall downward. Found intermittant fasting in 2013, lost weight- only 11 pounds from goal. Thanks for visiting my blog! Our daughter makes chainmaille jewelry. She has been doing it for a couple of years, but now just 17 she has decided to try to sell it. Her designs are pretty cool but she hopes to soon graduate to higher quality materials.

Thanks for stopping by! I do fast sometimes, and IF most daily. I have read some of Lean Gains, and I think it is a great program! I hang out sometimes on Mark's Daily Apple, and that is where I first learned of it. Thanks again for stopping by!

In response to your question about saving, I calculated that I would have spent about $1 per person (my husband and me) for three meals totaling 1500-2000 calories. Instead on the 2 fast days, we are eating only 500-600 calories, thus saving $2 per person per fast day -- savings we can put toward community and church outreach projects. This makes the fast days even easier since they have a dual purpose.

Hi there. I saw your post on the fast message board. I have been doing the Cura Romana which is 500 calories a day. One trick I have picked up from that is to add 1 tspoon of psyllium husks to a smoothie. It makes it thick and creamy, and I find the bulk makes the smoothie satisfying for a long time. You can add it to soups, too, for example a can of tomatoes and some stock...

Hope this helps
