Stepping Up

Sunday, December 28th, 2008 is the day I choose to step up and lead my life. I am the queen of excuses - I can rationalize anything, Why I eat what I eat, why I don't exercise or get enough sleep. Why I watch too much TV. Today I choose to lead my life in a new direction, one that is filled with the right decisions, and definitely no more excuses!

My Goals:
To Be ACTIVE again, to have energy and of course to lose 68 pounds!

My Program:
I am tired of a life filled with work and no play! So my program for January is to start simply:
1. Take a 30 minute walk every day. [I sit all day at work, then come home and sit in front of the TV]
2. Eat 3 meals a day [on time] I tend to skip breakfast and lunch.
3. Keep my portions appropriate. [I eat till I'm stuffed]
4. Drink 64 oz. of water each day. [Currently consume ZERO water]
5. Paint! [I know this is not a dietary goal, but painting is what I love to do and it gets me away from the TV!]



Personal Information:
Hello! I am 35, and I live in Orlando Florida. I have been married for almost 3 years and my husband and I are are anxious to start our family. We have 2 cats: Isabelle and Loki, and a pond full of gold fish.

Other Information:
My favorite things to do are gardening and painting!

Congratulations! SP has a sister site known as Babyfit...just keep in mind all you need to do is up your calories no more than 300 per day after the first trimester!

Yeppers, it's 80% about how you eat. So you can exercise like crazy, but if your eating is poor, you won't see good results on the scale. Remember my motto, "You can exercise 'till the cows come home, but if you don't eat right, you'll still be a cow coming home." Congratulations on your loss. Way to go!
