I wanna be an "after"...

My name is Amy...I live near Charlotte, NC, have and have two daughters.

I've struggled with my weight my entire life. I'm tired of struggling...I'm tired of making the same resolution every new year. This year will be different.

I have horrible willpower, so I lose focus if I have a bad day. That bad day turns into a bad week, which turns into a bad month and before I know it I've gained back whatever I lost plus. I've tried countless programs, Atkins, Weight ...

I have horrible willpower, so I lose focus if I have a bad day. That bad day turns into a bad week, which turns into a bad month and before I know it I've gained back whatever I lost plus. I've tried countless programs, Atkins, Weight Watchers, gone to the bariatric doctor for HCG shots, every fad diet known to man...but whatever I was on, something would happen and BAM I'd be right back where I started. I want to prove to myself and the people around me that I can succeed at this. When I have a bad day and need that candy bar, I have it, then get over it. I want to do this the healthy way, eating healthy "real" food, keeping track of it going in and working it off. I just want to prove to myself that I can do it long term.

I won't give up this time...I promise myself that I won't. I deserve the health and satisfaction of knowing I accomplished something. There will be days I mess up or times my excuses win out over what I know I should do. It's those days that I remember my promise and remember how good it feels to have extra wiggle room in the pants that were too tight last week or to have someone notice that you've lost weight.
