Hi there!

I turned 32 this weekend and have packed on 12 unnecessary pounds. So, here I am.

I started at 205 pounds in 2000. I got down to 155 on my own. Then, I ballooned back up to 175. I started walking/running and with the help of sparkpeople got down to 138. After knee surgery I went back up to 155. When I couldn't get the weight off I hired a personal trainer and my weight dipped back down to 140-145. However, I was in far better shape than I was at 138.

When I started, I couldn't run for 60 seconds, now I'm working on completing my 3rd marathon in March. I'm in far better shape than 90% of the people at the gym, and I love the challenge of trying new exercises and routines. Despite knowing that I am healthy and fit, I want to feel that I look that way too. To do that, I need to reach my goal and see the 130s.

I know that I can do better. I know that my best weight is probably between 132 and 137 pounds and I am going to get there.

I cannot wait to finally reach my goal and help other people reach theirs in the process.

My Goals:
Finish the Shamrock Marathon in 4 hours or less.

Qualify for the Boston Marathon, someday.

Run a 5k in less than 23:30.

Run a mile in less than 6:40.

Raise $25,000 for charity (at $22,400).

Inspire others to lead a healthy, active lifestyle.

Run an ultra-marathon.

Be proud of myself.


My Program:
Consume 1700-2000 calories per day until I reach my goal weight (I burn between 4500-6000 calories per week with my insane running, cardio and strength training routine).



Personal Information:
I love running. It has pretty much taken over my life (probably why I'm still single).

I'm a teacher and love the challenge of working with the at risk kids every day.

I'm working on a personal trainer certification because I really want to help others reach their goals.


Other Information:
You CAN do this. I know, because I was the laziest, unmotivated person out there, and I did it.
