My Goals:
My goals as I know them today are to be healthier over all and lose weight!! I want to be thin and fit again-full of energy and enjoying the life God has given me to the fullest!

My Program:
So far being day #1...my program is to navigate throught this site, complete all the challenges suggested and enjoy all the motivating, supportive, loving people, places and blogs, tips, and tools-goodness more is not enough and I am loving it here!!

Personal Information:
My name is Amy, I am from Corona/Eastvale area of CA. I am a very happily married wife of 20yrs, with two ummm well not children anymore-one is 19 and the other 17. I have two small dogs that I adore. I am looking forward to a thinner healthier life as I have known before!

Other Information:
I like to read Francine Rivers novels, poetry, self help and romance novels. I have been in school off and on for about 7 yrs-I love to learn but haven't accomplished a degree. I like to garden and love to be out in the yard planting, pulling weeds, and playing in the dirt. My family rides/races dirt bikes we spend alot of time with our big family and all of our get togethers!

I love that this is an "excited group" lol!! This will probably be my favorite team to be apart of...because I believe the happiest people are those who focus on the glass half full not half empty, giving away what they have to keep it, sharing with others all that God has blessed them with, and the realization that we are in this together!! emoticon emoticon

I just wanted to post a quick Welcome to the **Positive Sparkers** TEAM. We're so glad to have you join us. Please jump in and have a good time getting healthy. This is an excited group of folks and really active team so you should be able to find all sorts of inspiration and motivation. If you have any questions, don't hesitate to ask. There's always someone willing to help in any way possible. Don't forget to use the food/water tracker that spark people provides as well as the fitness tracker. Welcome to SparkPeople Amy. I am so glad that you found us. There is a lot of information here and the best tools to help you reach your goals.

I have been on SparkPeople since April 2009 and I have lost over 20 pounds and I have kept it off with the help of this website! I track my food every day (good and bad) and I track my exercise. You can check out my SparkPage and see my fitness and food tracking. I put it all out there for everyone to see – the good, the bad and the ugly. It helps keep me honest! Are there days when I eat stuff that I know I shouldn’t – of course. This is a life long journey, one with many paths to take. I just have to keep making the right choices and when I don’t, I get back on the right path and don’t look back.

The encouragement and motivation I get from my Spark friends is amazing. They are always there to help me through tough times and bring a smile to my face. I have found that if I post something that is bothering me, within an hour someone will respond back and make sure everything is alright and offer encouragement.

One of the best things that you can do for yourself is to find a few good teams that you will check in with every day. When you are looking at teams that you might be interested in, check how old the posts are. If you find that no one has posted to it for a few weeks then I would suggest you keep looking. You need daily support and interaction with other team members. I invite you to check out Spin Me A Yarn and/or Australian Cattle Dog Lovers teams, which I am the team leader of. See if it is something that interests you. I try to keep it fun and interesting on both teams.

Being new, I would suggest that you use Your Spark Points (click on View SparkPoints) as a map to the site. It is a good way to see what is new and a great tool for any situation.
