I quit smoking on October 2, 2010. I have made it well over 2 years and I am proud to say that I am smoke free and I know that I will remain that way! I also know that if I have the willpower to quit smoking, then I have the willpower to change the way I treat food and exercise. So here I am at Sparkpeople, looking to make a difference in my life. It's about time I got in shape! I started on January 1st 2013, but it was not a "New Years Resolution" just a decision that I am going to get healthy before not being healthy kills me. I knew that I needed to set a definite date that I was going to change things so I picked 1/1/13 because it was the beginning of a new year, and the end of the holiday buffet that's been parading past me in every facet of my life. When I quit smoking I picked a definite date and I stuck with it. It worked there so I figured it could work for weight loss too. Here we go!

My Goals:
My ultimate goal is to get back down to the weight I was before children. My lowest was 165.

1st short term goal - 35 lbs lost by May 1st
2nd short term goal - 50 lbs lost by July 4th.

My Program:
I am tracking everything that I eat, and staying within my caloric goals everyday. Combined with working out 5-6 times a week for 20-30 min a day.

If I make my goal weight by the end of the year, I'm rewarding myself with contact lenses!

My first short-term goal was 20 lbs. I rewarded myself with a new pair of sneakers for that.

My next short-term goal is another personal training session when I hit 50lbs lost.
