    You're about where I started six years ago as I was 214#. Never got to my goal yet, but never been back to that horrible weight, either. Glad u r doing this now FOR YOU.
    I remember getting a "Jane Fonda" workout when I first got a VCR, and she gave an introduction, and then someone else did the exercise program. I was so disappointed that I never bought anything else of hers since. I did find Joyce Vedral to be good. Then I did YOGA with Priscilla Patrick on PBS. She still has a web site at YOGAONE(dot)com. I like the Yoga of Rodney Yee as his videos are good.

    MEASURE YOUR SERVINGS! Our minds are sneaky and we vastly underestimate what we are eating.
    TRACK EVERYTHING THAT GOES IN YOUR MOUTH! If you write it down, it is real. Don't try to remember at the end of the day. Do it immediately after you eat if not before.
    MOVE! It probably won't be much at first. 15 minutes on the bike was hard for me at first and I had to ice my knee afterward. After several weeks I tried the elliptical trainer. I couldn't do a minute. Now I can do an hour without any problem.
    The fact is, you CAN do this! I am proof of it.
