KueenKaren ~ Yes I have been on Gilenya for about6 months and I LOVE IT!!!! I take my pill in the morning and I don't feel like I have the flu everyday like on Rebif, I don't have any side effects and I am wondering if it is helping my body to fight off this attack I feel coming on!!!
Now it IS expensive, we are talking $3700/ month but Novartis ( the drug company) pays for it for a year and after that it will be a $150 copay, unless some mircale happens and the coverage changes or gets better! I was on Rebif for 5 years (quit working) and Tysabri for 5 months (found out I was allergic)... so I've been through the gamut :)
No matter what comes back keep your head up... a positive attitude changes your outcomes!
Hi, I saw your post in the SPers with MS team page about Fingolimod and was just wondering if you're on it and how it's worked for you so far. I just found out that my dr is 90% sure I have MS, I'm waiting for results of my audio and visual test and I have a spinal tap scheduled for next wednesday. But my dr mentioned that once we're sure it's MS I was a good candidate for fingolimod and he told me to research it. So just wondering what your feedback is. Thanks for your help! Karen
