I am a mother of an 11-year old son and have been with my husband 17 years. I had lost 16 pounds reaching my goal weight of 115 but then one day of slacking turned to two and so-on. I had been sick from my gallbladder so was unable to work out and then got out of the habit. I had surgery and lost more weight and looked good but it was because I couldn't eat. Once I was able to eat again I ate all unhealthy food and starting to have beer from time-to-time and cocktails with friends, soda with lunch, etc.

We went on vacation soon after and then my son was in the ICU for 13 days and had recovery time because of the swine flu, double pneumonia, septicshock and more. Did not make healthy choices, lost my routine and momentum, while gaining a lot of weight to reach my highest weight EVER. On top of that, I found out that I have a hypothyroid, and as of today we haven't gotten it controlled with medication yet. Needless to say my diet and my exercise regime no longer existed. I was in a lazy slump.

I weighed myself and was struck hard when I saw the scale. NEVER have I weighed this much. I started working out every day but wasn't losing weight. I then bought Insanity by BeachBody and have now completed the entire program. I was disappointed to see I had only lost 1.5 pounds in the first week, gained in another, but eventually I lost inches and weight in the 2nd week of the 2nd month. I lost a total of 11.5 pounds doing Insanity, burning about 500 calories per workout, and many inches. I'm excited about the end result. I am now trying to keep up the calorie burn count, which is tough with other DVDs. I've started a hybrid of Insanity and TurboFire. I just know I'll be at my goal weight eventually, although slower than I anticipated, and I'm getting healthier and stronger. I will get my self-esteem back. I know it!

My Goals:
My goal is to get the weight off...again...and stick to my diet and lifestyle change. I slacked and gained it back and I forgot that it isn't as easy to lose as it once was. I want my self-esteem back and want to eat healthy and be healthy.

My Program:
I completed the Insanity 60 day program the end of June, and started a TF/Insanity hybrid. That didn't work out so well because I just can't get into Insanity like before. Too many jumps ;-). I took most of Augut off because of abdominal pain and slacking, but back at it to get cocktail dress ready the end of October. I'll also be mixing in Hip Hop Abs and some JM. I am hoping to lose weight and inches! I also plan to take walks with family more, and go running like I used to. A 5k may be in my future!

Personal Information:
I am from Utah and currently live in Herriman. I work full time, am a mother, and a wife.

I used to be very active, but the past 2 years have been horrible for me. My "starting on Monday" attitude only had me gaining weight and getting out of my work out routine. I started Insanity and made the 6xweek commitment for 60 days. I did it. Now I feel guilty if I don't work out and burn at least 500 calories per day. It's nice to have a routine again.

I have a hypothyroid that is not corrected yet, but working on it. I had hoped to be at my goal weight for my son's 11 bday, but that came and went last week and am still at the 125-127 pound range (haven't officially weighed myself yet). I am still determined to lose the weight before the holiday festivities. At first my goal was by July 29, 2012, but weight loss is going a lot slower than I thought. I am eating healthier, no soda (never really liked it), counting calories, and making sure I get plenty of protein.
