Making Changes in 2011

I'm Ann-Marie. I graduated college in May 08 and weighed 165. When I saw myself in some photographs taken in June, I faced reality and began dieting on my own, then joined a gym. My goal is to be 125.

2011- With the new year comes new goals. I am trying to be more accountable and want to weigh in more often that I used to do.

My Goals:
-Take classes at the gym in the mornings
-Keep track of my money and stick to a budget
-Read one book a month
-Cook healthy meals at home.
-Resume running (two times a week for the first 2 weeks and the three times after that)
-Weigh in weekly on Monday mornings

Other Information:
I find that many (not all) people will respond negatively to your weight loss. It's discouraging at first, but just learn to ignore it. You are doing this for yourself, so prove to you (and to them) that you can do this!

Thanks for replying to my note. Good for you for moving. I'd love nothing more than to move out of Newark to get my kids into better schools. I didn't run a marathon. I walked a half in 2005 and am training to run my first - the Long Branch Half on May 1st.
