Looking for motivation without an "event"

I have now been happily married for 1 year, but apparently enjoying it too much since I gained 10 pounds during that time! I never reached my goal weight for the wedding or even came close, which made me think if something like my wedding was not a big enough event to motivate me--there probably isn't ever going to be an outside thing to motivate me. I now am trying to move toward long term health and wellness as part of my life.

My Goals:
Exercise 20 minutes a day.

Eat within my calorie range during the week 5/7 times.



My Program:
I'm trying to do some sort of exercise everyday even if it's stretching or a few yoga poses. For eating, I'm trying to be aware of how much protein I am getting.

Personal Information:
I'm a south suburb Chicago gal who loves to sing and go out to hang with friends.

Other Information:
I enjoy reading, watching comedies and musicals, and of course some reality TV. I work with kids with special needs, and therefore also enjoy playdough; star wars; Disney; and Legos :)

Let;s go lady..we CAN do this!!!....I'm right back up to pre-reunion weight..182...that's scary, and it doesn't help when people say "you don't look that heavy!" I have to remind them that I'm 5'8", but that the weight is NOT healthy for me. I have decided that I can NOT be 155 because that was the weight that I was both times I got pregnant...lol...so I'm aiming for 145...knowing that I will be happy at 150 :-)

I've already lost 1.4 pounds just by moderating my meals and walking. I want to get the meals and such down first before adding in weights, plus I have wait to hear from my doctor as to what is causing the swelling in my srists...lovely, huh?

Don't give up....I'm not....we CAN do this!!!
