Looking for motivation without an "event"

I have now been happily married for 1 year, but apparently enjoying it too much since I gained 10 pounds during that time! I never reached my goal weight for the wedding or even came close, which made me think if something like my wedding was not a big enough event to motivate me--there probably isn't ever going to be an outside thing to motivate me. I now am trying to move toward long term health and wellness as part of my life.

My Goals:
Exercise 20 minutes a day.

Eat within my calorie range during the week 5/7 times.



My Program:
I'm trying to do some sort of exercise everyday even if it's stretching or a few yoga poses. For eating, I'm trying to be aware of how much protein I am getting.

Personal Information:
I'm a south suburb Chicago gal who loves to sing and go out to hang with friends.

Other Information:
I enjoy reading, watching comedies and musicals, and of course some reality TV. I work with kids with special needs, and therefore also enjoy playdough; star wars; Disney; and Legos :)

Yeah, I just finished that arm workout too. Quick routine but very effective for toning. Don't forget to stretch your arms and shoulder muscles out after. Pull your arm across the front of your body then pull your wrist down and end with linking your hands behind your back and pulling up up.

I'm baaaaack!! It just dawned on me a month or so ago that I'll be 40 at the end of this year (12/12/12)....where did the time go??!!??

So...if you read my latest blog post, you'll see what's been going on this summer and where I"m aiming for.....

SO sorry I haven't been more supportive....I had to fight with the middle school for the majority of last year because my son was diagnosed with Asperger's in 5th grade and the 6th grade totally threw him for a loop and the school was NOT supportive at all.....ending with him getting punched in the face on the bus and nothing being done about it until I stormed the office and showed them the broken glasses and red spot on his forehead.

He is now in an online home school program and is *so* enjoying school again....but now that it's summer, there's homeschool sewing and cooking and swim lessons to juggle as well...

If you need any wedding help (favors, etc.) let me know....I craft in my "spare" time...lol.....flower pens and all kinds of things :-)

sorry I haven't been consistent with touching base...carzy days around here and school starts in 9 more days...with a visit from my Mother between now and then..argh. Have been off exercise for a few days given other things that are going on...not in a good place as I write this, but hopefully will get back there soon. How are things going with you??
