To Health and Longevity

I grew up in cities where I walked everywhere so weight was not a problem until I had kids and moved to the suburbs where I have to drive everywhere. I became obese with each pregnancy. After the first one I lost most of the weight but the last one I kept most of it. I've been obese now for the past 11 years or so. It's really time to do something and stick with it.

My Goals:
Short-term goals:
* Do yoga every day - Doing it since 1/1/12!
* Start a cardio regimen in 2/12
* Attain 175 lbs by 3/29. Incentive: 4 oz. of oloroso sherry!

When I get down to 170 I will get myself a couple of new japanese shoji screens for the bedroom!

My long-term goal is to be a healthy weight that doesn't wear on my bones and tendons and such. I also want to avoid cardiovascular disease and diabetes, which fat people tend to get. I lost 25 lbs a couple of years ago when I topped out at 210 lbs. I gained back 20 of those so I need to get back to taking care of myself.

My Program:
The plan is to track everything and increase physical activity. Reduce empty calories,

Personal Information:
In my mind I look like a Renoir nude or Klimt's Danae, but in reality I'm one pudgy middle-aged broad who needs to get over herself and lose some weight.

Other Information:
I grew up in New Yawk City but have lived in the Promised Land (California) for about 20 years.

Thank you for the support on my page. Being any type of inspiration for anyone is very motivating! It doesnít matter who you are, where you are starting from, how many times you have failed or given up, you CAN do this. It isnít easy, it doesnít get easier, your mind gets tougher and your body gets stronger.

Just wanted to stop by and say hello and offer my support. I was at 197 lbs on January 17th (the most I have ever weighed). I dropped down to 175 by May 24th but still have a LONG ways to go. I would love to get to know you and help encourage each other along our journey. Just remember one baby step at a time will help you reach your goal. It's never too late!
