Mrs. Amy Kuykendall

My name is Amy. I've been overweight all of my life and I am finally done with all of this extra weight. I am recently married and my husband will soon be enlisting in the Navy. It's embarrassing that he's so much tinier than me. I want to be the wife that he can be proud of.

Hey Amy,
I know that it can be hard staying motivated since I've attempted this weight loss thing about 3 times since my daughter was born and have yet to be successful in keeping motivated or on track... but I am so determined to stick w/ this, this time... I find that the ticker, posting the exercise I've done, and food I've eaten on the trackers to be EXTREMELY helpful...also trying to get to know others that are just starting so that I've got them to help keep me motivated. I really do believe that you can do this and of course it's going to seem impossible at times but we just gotta help keep each other motivated because in t he end all this hard work is going to be worth it... don't give up, I'm rootin' for ya! emoticon

HELLO AMY!!!
Welcome and congratulations on joining SP! Congratulations on your new marriage! How lovely! I would say first of all...start pointing out the good things about yourself. FOCUS on those. Don't focus on the bad things or give them anymore attention or time! They will all improve as your choices and headspace and self-love does! Corny but true! :) You need to find your why! WHY is it SOOOOOOOOOOOO important to lose the weight...what makes you feel like you WILL DO IT NO MATTER WHAT!? That's what you have to tap into on your lack of motivation times. It's a long journey...but it just takes commitment, perseverance, patience and some realization that progress no matter how small is progress. Some days will suck and some will have you doing emotional cartwheels and smiling from ear to ear! You learn from each and every tear and cheer! JUST KEEP GOING! If you need any help or to vent or anything, just holler! xo YOU CAN DO IT!
