Happy New Year!!! Yes I am enough!

Years of neglect and poor self esteem has lead me to gain over a 150 lbs. since I graduated from high school. University has come and gone and now....I now am building myself in a career that I love...and I'm tired of making excuses.

In fact I have RAN out of excuses!!!

I have a serial on and off user of Sparkpeople for years no fault of this wonderful community...just letting all my negative self talk and doubt get to me.

2014 is my year to be ON!!!!! ...

2014 is my year to be ON!!!!!

This is a journey that I am doing for me now, not all the other voices in my life. I want to be able to look forward to achieving my goals while looking back on the past and drawing strength from my experiences not my critics or 'observers'.

I deserve this for me!
....I can't wait :)

emoticon Ameena! Think of healthy living as a career. Make goal setting a regular part of your life. Become a permanent participant in sustaining better lifestyle choices. Focus on one goal at a time to become a healthier you. Develop an action plan for each goal and finish what you start. Each positive change will lead you to better results. You CAN and WILL turn your GOALS into the results that you are striving for!

emoticon G = Give each goal 100% of commitment from beginning to completion!
emoticon O = Open your mind to new ways of doing new things!
emoticon A = Add variety to nutrition plan, fitness activities and inner well-being goals!
emoticon L = Live life embracing healthy choices, positive changes and personal growth!

Success is a Choice
-Unknown
"Today I will make many choices, and each will have a consequence. Today I can choose to tell myself that I am worth the effort, or I can tell myself doesn't matter, I'll do it tomorrow. Today I can choose to journal, or I can choose not to. Today I can choose to drink my water, or I can choose to be
dehydrated. Today I can choose to stay in my points range, or I can choose to hinder my goals. Today I can choose to be more active, or I can choose to take the easy way. Today I can choose to be motivated, or I can choose to tell myself "I can't." Today I can choose success. IT IS MY CHOICE."

"Yesterday is dead. Tomorrow is a dream.
Today - each today - is where the action is - where all of life occurs.
Today IS your life - your only life. Live today to the fullest."

"The difference between stepping stones and stumbling blocks is not in the event itself but how you think about it and what you do after it.
Every failure and setback can become part of your success or an excuse for quitting or failing.
People who develop the discipline of positivity are both happier and more successful."
-Michael Josephson

Just dropping by to say hello, Sparkfriend! Remember, you don't have to be perfect on this journey in order to make progress! As long as you keep trying...and never quit...you are already a success! Keep doing your best, because you are worth the effort!
Hugs,
Pixie

"Part of abandoning the all-or-nothing mentality is allowing yourself room for setbacks.
We are bound to have lapses on the road to health and wellness, but it is critical that we learn how to handle small failures positively so that we can minimize their long-term destructive effects.
One setback is one setback...it is not the end of the world, nor is it the end of your journey toward a better you."
