Iíve always struggled with my body image, even when I was closer to my ideal weight. When I moved from California, where Iíd lived my whole life, to Texas I really began to struggle with my weight. Iíve always struggled with my body image, even when I was closer to my ideal weight. When I moved from California, where Iíd lived my whole life, to Texas I really began to struggle with my weight. I never felt like I belonged. I was depressed. It wasn't until I started up a gym membership and began to get in better shape, that Iíd began to feel happier and more like my old self. In 2010 we made another cross-country move from Texas to Oregon. This was when my weight truly spiraled out of control. I kept adding on pound after pound until my weight hit the highest it had ever been. I stopped weighing myself when I hit 190.

I hated having photos taken of myself, because when I looked at them, I didn't recognize the person I was anymore. I remember thinking ďthatís not meĒ. I started trying to hide behind my husband or other people in photos if they had to be taken (yes, I'm hiding behind hubby in one of the photos here).

I was able to get down to 178 pound just through cleaning up my nutrition and exercising on my own, but I was stuck and having trouble sticking to a routine.

In July of 2012, my husband and I decided to commit to a healthier lifestyle. We were both tired of being overweight and unhealthy. Thatís when we began Insanity.

Fast forward, to two years later, lots of ups and downs, and a gauntlet of other Beachbody programs in between (TurboFire, Les Mills Combat, Focus T25, P90X3, Body Beast, PiYo Workout). I may not be to my goal weight yet, but I am far healthier than I ever was, even when I was at my lowest weight. I have more lean muscle than I have ever had before.

Iíve worked hard to get to where I am. It didnít happen over night. Iíve had lots of ups and downs along the way. Iíve cried. Iíve sweat. Iíve fought to get to where I am today.

Along the way Iíve gained a renewed love for life. Iíve gained a renewed love and passion for fitness. Iíve gained my confidence back. Iíve gained such an incredible support group (that includes all of you) and friendships along the way. I could not have gotten to where I am today with out the all of your support and the amazing programs from Beachbody.

Beachbody has given me such amazing gift that I feel like I MUST pay it forward. This is why I do what I do. This is why I became a Coach.

haha! thanks for that green tea. I tried it a couple times in the past. Maybe I should give it a go again:) Got a brand you recommend for me? I haven't been to Starbucks in a while. I am finding out that a lot of my bad eating habits are just that - habits. And if I change up my routine then I can stop them and put better ones in their place!
