It's Time To Live!

I've always started diets...I'm really good at starting diets and planning on success....just not with the follow through. My husband and I have survived the first year of marriage....now it's time for the baby in the baby carriage! :) Before any of that can happen though, I need to lose weight and make myself a healthy momma!! I'm looking to shed weight, emotional baggage that comes with a lifetime (I'm 29) of being overweight, and all the things that could rob me of the best life possible ...

My Goals:
I want to lose 225 lbs (gulp!!) But I've broken it down into increments that are easier to achieve.

1. Lose 20 lbs by 3/18/11

My Program:
I am eating consciously. I will be monitoring my portions, and following the diet in the PCOS Workbook...which is as follows: (the numbers indicate servings)

Breakfast
1 Fruit
1-3 Grains/Starches
1 Fat

Snack
1-2 Fats
1 Fruit
1 Protein

Lunch
1-2 Grains/starches
3 Proteins
2-3 Vegables
2 Fats

Snack
1 Protein
1 Fruit

Dinner
3-5 Proteins
1-2 Fats
1-2 Grains

This is to have me consume between 1400-1600 calories a day, eat every 3-5 hours and stop eating after 8pm.

Personal Information:
Who am I? I'm 29, married to a great man, live in beautiful (if not frigid) Minnesota. I love to cook, invent new recipes, crochet, learn new hobbies, make jewelry, read, write, and spend time with family, friends and The Hubs. I am looking to lose weight, reverse or at least have a tight contol of my PCOS (Polycystic Ovarian Syndrome) and I hope that at the end of this journey, on top of gaining my health and a sexy body -I am hoping to be able to have a baby.

Welcome to the 300+team. 300 is such a BIG number but if we persevere, focus and motivate one another we can reach our goals!
We have so much of life ahead of us and it is so much better to work on ourselves and reach for our goals.
We can do it-- we are worth the effort!
All we can do is take it one day, one bite, one pound at a time.

Hi, thanks for friending me. It is nice to see another person with PCOS on here. I struggled with infertility for a long time and have been blessed with two little ones (twin boys) in the baby carriage and I am trying to be healthy for them now. I don't want to be the fat Mom on the playground. And, I want to be able to enjoy baseball and other games with them. So, it will be great to share this journey with you. I do have a question - what is the PCOS notebook?
