Hi! I'm Amber. Way back when I was 21, weighing in at a curvy 108 lbs. and wearing a size 5, I never would have believed that 30 years later I'd weigh 218 lbs. and be wearing a size 20! Gasp!! After my husband passed away in August of 2006, I realized the importance of living a healthy lifestyle, and lost, on my own, 46 lbs. over the past 18 mos. My goal is 29 more lbs., which my doctor and I believe would be sustainable and healthy. I feel pretty great right now--healthy, very sexy, and happy. I even have a new sweetheart in my life! I'd like to keep motivated from others here, and share my positive (mostly) experiences with you. Let's see less of each other!! :)
I want to reach a healthy, sustainable (that's very important!) weight, and be fit, too.
My goal is 30 minutes on the TreadClimber (at home) 5 days a week for 33 minutes to burn 335 calories each session and 2 sessions of following a DanceX DVD program.
I'm a native of Long Island, NY, who happily transplanted to Florida in '98.
I love being outdoors as much as possible, especially near water or in a park.
Life is a gift that I appreciate each day, even the bad ones.
I love reading novels, anything that doesn't involve torture or excessive violence, but there are at least two dozen books I've purchased still waiting to be read! Between working full-time and a full life otherwise, reading gets put to the side. I also appreciate music--everything from class rock to Country--my new favorite.

Hi Amber, thanks for your goodie and adding me as a friend. I just noticed that you're originally from NY and now live in FL. I'm originally from NJ and have lived in Florida since 1990. Initially lived in S. Florida but about 6 yrs. ago moved to Central Florida. Take care and before you know you will have lost those 3 lbs. you have been battling and reached your 50 lb. loss!
