New year, fresh start, renewed me...

My name is Amber. I am stationed in Germany with my husband and daughter. We are both enlisted in the Air Force. We don't really have time for a life anymore, so my life consists of trying to take care of errands, trying to get a couple of hours of sleep a day, commuting, working, and spending as much time with Eden as possible.
Now what I wish I had time for...play groups, evening walks, site seeing, dates with my husband, art projects with Eden, scrap booking.

My husband will soon be off on his deployment, leaving me to juggle my military career, our daughter Eden, and the stress of taking care of our family all by myself. It will be difficult for me to find time to work out between spending time with Eden and shift work. I want to be in shape for his return though. I recently lost about 50 lbs after having Eden. Now I want to tone up and drop the little bit I've gained back from going on leave (Can't pass up the taco shops and our Mom's home cooking!!) and also lose a few extra. My body will never be the same, but I want to at least have it be the best it can be now! ;)

My Goals:
I need to firm up for the most part! But also drop about 15 lbs...which will probably bring me to tears, since it will be the lowest weight I've been since I was in High School.

My Program:
I'm going to get what I can in while I can. I have been doing basic strength exercises while at work, but I really need to fit in some cardio.

Personal Information:
I am from a small town in Northern California. I have been in the Air Force for almost 6 years.

Other Information:
I love to read!!! When I get a spare moment I grab a book. I absolutely adore Nicholas Sparks. He has such a unique style. I have a weakness for a good book, hot bath and nice glass of wine...oh! and chocolate!!

HI Iím one of your co-leaders of the May 18, 2008 class. Iím very glad your found your way to SP. Glad to see you've already made a Sparkpage!
You have come to the right place for information, support, motivation and ideas. My first advice would be to learn your food/fitness trackers well and then USE them. They will get you and keep you on track. Then find a team or two that meet your goals or interests and then become active on them. Motivating others will certainly motivate you. If you have any questions, just ask through spark mail or give a shout on one of the message boards and someone will come running!! I wish you well on your journey. Good luck
