I started my journey in May of 2008. I had just given birth to my beautiful son in April, and I weighed an all time high of 207. I had only gained 30 lbs, but I had started out way to heavy, and I was still carrying 10 pregnancy pounds. I also have a daughter, and I was only 25 years old. I knew I had to do something. I could no longer deny that fact that I was FAT.

I joined WW, and started to lose weight immediately. I set a goal of losing 5 pound/month. I lost about 40 pounds doing WW online, and I joined Spark People in March 2009 to hopefully lose that last 20-25 pounds.

I have since lost those last few pounds, and I'm currently learning to maintain and working on becoming more physically fit. I ran my first 6k in April 2010 and I finished in about 42 minutes. This was a huge accomplishment for me, as it used to take me 15 minutes to run a single mile.

My Goals:
I am now basically in maintenance mode. I would like to lose an extra 10 lbs, but I know that last 10 is the hardest. I also want to stop eating late at night, drink more water and live a healthy and active lifestyle.


My Program:
Portion control is my number one hindrance. As far as exercise, I alternate between Turbo Fire, Yoga and Belly Dancing.

    ZWOW is an abbreviation for Zuzana's Workout of the Week. The workouts usually consists of 4 exercises, do them in several rounds and you need to time your workout. So far, it's time challenge, which means, you need to complete the workout in the fastest time while still making sure you do the exercises correctly.

    Have a look in youtube, usually the latest workout will be posted on Thursday, western time or Friday, eastern time:

    The pilate class is actually only 2-week, all-girls and it was for the trainer's credit hours (I think she's getting her pilate certificate or something like that). And it's not in a gym but in a community center where the expatriates and families usually use (but I'm not an expat, just a local girl, hehe)
