I was diagonosed with hypothyroidism and put on armour which has helped me so much. I also found Spark in June 2012 and started learning so much about nutrition and fitness. I am now happier than I have ever been. I am working out 6 days a week and eating really well. Yes, I indulge and slip up a lot but most of the time I stick to my plan and I am seeing results! I have energy and peace of mind and am able to deal with life's stress in a positive healthy way.
Update August 7, 2012: I am now down to 188 pounds but more importantly, I am truly changing my life each and everyday. I am healthier, leaner, and happier than ever before! I can't wait to wake up everyday and keep reaching higher as Jen says from JensFitJourney!
UPDATE Nov. 9, 2012: I'm down to 172! Woo Hoo! And still working hard to stick to my nutrition plan each day and get that exercise in. It's been hard keeping my motivation up since fall has hit but I am sticking with it and trying my best to keep moving toward my goal. It doesn't matter how slowly you go, just as long as you do not stop!
Time for another UPDATE on this thing! It's Jan 2013. I've made it to 171 pounds but kind of hit a plateau. Also spent two weeks during Christmas time, pigging out and not exercising. :( But I've gotten back on track, started P90X and will be getting those pounds and inches to start coming off again! Woo Hoo! I've also changed my date to reach my goal. I'm giving myself until the end of May 2013. That will be almost exactly a year from when I started. Hopefully, I can do it!
UPDATE 4/26/13: Well, I went through some personal things starting in Jan 2013 and stopped exercising and started eating anything and everything. I gained back a lot of weight and am now at 185. But I have dealt with my personal problem once and for all and finally have it under control and am back on track! I am eating well and working out six days a week with one day of rest. I'm doing Jillian Michaels' 30 Day Shred and am about to move on to level 2 of the dvd. I have seen my waist go down a whole 2 inches! But not much in the weight department. I know that will come with time. I am happy to be back working towards my goal again. Though my main goal has changed somewhat. I, now, want to focus on being the healthiest and fittest person I can be. I want to do this for my health and happiness first and foremost. I'm not longer doing this for a number on a scale or a certain pant size. Yes, I will still be monitoring my weight and aiming to get to a healthy weight but that will not longer be my first concern. I think finally getting my priorities straight will help me to stay with my healthy living lifestyle forever. :)

I want to be healthy both mentally and physically. I want build lean muscle and get rid of excess fat. I want to improve my athletic ability. I want to run a 5K and then after that a 10 K and after that who knows? I just want to keep moving forward and keep improving in everything that I do. :)
Short Term Goals to Reach My Weight Goal:
1. lose at least 3 pounds each month.
2. Burn at least 3000 calories per week.
3. Stick to my Nutrition Plan each day
4. Complete P90X
Basically, I'm going to eat less calories and those calories are going to be made up of healthier, cleaner foods. And I'm going to move more! I'm currently doing P90X and loving it!
So each week for exercise I will:
1. Do an hour of cardio at least 5 times a week.
2. Strength training for 30 min at least 3 times a week.
4. Take 1 to 2 days off each week to rest and recover my body
5. Be more active in everyday life. Walk more, take the stairs, find anywhere I can to move more.
1. Stick to 50% Carbs, 30% Proteins, 20% Fats (good fats!) each day
2. Stick to my calories given by Sparkpeople
3. Track my food!
