I'm Glad This Is A Journey!!

I am so blessed - God has given me so much to be thankful for and now I am trying to be a good steward of it...body included!!!!

I worked really hard to get where I was before I became pregnant. Now that my beautiful daughter is here I am going to work hard to show her a good body image! This body was home to her for nine months and I am learning to love each imperfection (even though I don't always like them). I know that I am capable of really pushing myself to the limit to get ...

I worked really hard to get where I was before I became pregnant. Now that my beautiful daughter is here I am going to work hard to show her a good body image! This body was home to her for nine months and I am learning to love each imperfection (even though I don't always like them). I know that I am capable of really pushing myself to the limit to get to a certain weight or size, but I also know that now I am really only concerned with how I feel and live my life. I plan on finding a happy, healthy medium between living in the moment and planning every second of the day. Balance...is what I long for now that I am a Mommy to my baby girl. I want her to know she is beautiful inside and out, no matter what the "norm" is, and that she has control over her health and how she feels about her body. I want her to see confidence in me, that only working out and eating healthy can provide. Right now, it is hard to even think about working out as often or intensly as I did before her arrival, but I will get there. I just want to feel active and energized again...hard with those late night/early morning nursing sessions, but this is only temporary and it is SO worth it! She is almost sleeping through the night now, so I am not complaining!!!

This journey is slow, but steady and that's okay with me.

My Goals:
My main goal is health and feeling great! Of course that involves feeling good about my appearance, but it is so much more.

Update to come - these were my goals prior to having Madelynne. Time to put some thought into these again!

Old goals -
Ultimate goals:
- Lose a total of 70-75 lbs
- Run a 10k - completed 2/27/2010!!!!!
- Compete in numerous 5ks and duathlons
- Eat more fish and veggies
- Inspire my family to live heathlier!
- Have an active life!
- Take care of this temple that God gave me...

I am re-evaluating my program as I begin to work exercise back into my life.

Personal Information:
I'm a TX girl and proud of it!

March 2012 - my husband and I welcomed my precious baby girl, Madelynne, into our lives!!

I love animals and have 4 dogs, a cat, and a snake.

I love cooking, photography, painting, shopping, and hanging with my family and friends.

And, I love music!! All kinds - it speaks to my soul like nothing else! I can do any workout more agreeably with a great music mix!!
