Hi, I am a 35 year old working mother of two. My last baby was born July 19th of this year, and I am trying to lose the weight that I gained. Actually, I am trying to lose the weight I gained with my daughter who is 2 1/2 years old. I really want to make a life change and eat better, exercise more. The hard part is getting motivated.
With this pregnancy I have had some problems with high blood pressure. It still is a problem even taking meds. twice a day. I am hoping that losing some weight will lower the pressure.

My Goals:
My goals for myself is to lose the baby fat, become more confident and to feel better. I would love to stick to this and not become obsessed. I have a habit of doing that. Istead of being healthy I tend to go to the extreme to lose weight.


My Program:
I will start exercising as soon as I can. But for right now I am trying to eat right and do some light walking. I just had a baby and it was a c-section, so my body still needs to heal. This program will be a challenge at first, but once I get going and understand how to make recipies and count everything , I''ll be fine.

    Hi Wendy - I just joined SparkPeople and your profile sounds very similar to mine. I have two kids, (Rachael is 2 1/2 and Kevin is almost 10 months). I was thin when I got married in 2000 but then I gained 20 pounds after having Rachael and another 10-15 after Kevin. I am hoping to lose 30-35 pounds by summer. I live in Swedesboro, Nj. Maybe we could meet for a coffee or a play date with the kids and go for a walk. I would be nice to know someone locally who has similar goals.

    Hi Wendy - I have two little ones too. 2 1/2 and 9 months - I wish I could belame my weight on my children - I lost 40 lbs when I had my daugheter then gain back 30 then had my son and lost 20 but after he was born I put it right back on. I find the hardest thing to do is find the time to exercise - there's always something that needs to be done and I get up for work at 4:30 am so I can't do it after the kids are asleep or I'll never get to sleep,

    Hi Wendy! Thanks for the comment.

    I'm still around and doing well. Things have just been really busy both at work, with family and boyfriend and with the holidays, etc. I haven't been using the site to keep track of my eating or exercising and honestly I haven't been keeping track of it at all. Luckily, I haven't gained any weight, I've actually lost a tiny bit, but since I haven't been exercising everything is getting soft again. So, exercising is my focus now and I'm going to try to do something in the morning and at night. I'll hope for the best! My trip to CA is in January so I still have time to make some changes.
