I am working hard to change my life, not just my body. This obviously is a work in progress as I have much to learn and even more to do.

I am looking for as many friends as I can find right now at SparkPeople to help keep me motivated and on track. Finding friends that I can help in return is equally as important to me.

Helping others is perhaps the most rewarding thing there is, to me anyway.

I have a new goal. While I work on myself, I hope that I can become an inspiration and motivator for my fellow friends here at SparkPeople. Please don't hesitate to let me know if I can help you in some way, or if I've been able to help you already. Through this validation I will know if I've met my goal. :)

GOAL # 1

I am eating healthier and exercising regularly to be healthy, happy, and fit.

Long term: Lose 50 lbs by Feb 2011
Medium term: Lose 20 lbs by June 1 2010
Short term: Lose 1 lb per week

I am moving to Phoenix AZ the summer of 2010.

Long term: Living in Phoenix area by summer of 2010
Medium term: Setup interviews by the end of March
Medium Term: Find a place to live in Phoenix
Medium Term: Find a job in Phoenix
Short term: Apply for jobs weekly
Short term: Begin organizing to make the move easier

My Program:
I am eating much healthier foods, and improving until I find the perfect balance. I am working out almost daily. I do at least 3 full body workouts with 35 minutes of cardio a week, and the other days as much cardio as I can handle. I am tracking my calories and workout to view progress and see areas that need improvement.

    In the write up u mentioned being on the 5 community challenge. I don't see which team you are on. Perhaps your not on this team now? If you are on it,,,and it's just not showing on ur teams let me know or
    ur ML, CL or any EL'js who are in the know. I'm on the Spirited Under Dogs,, AKA Dawggie team as the ML and have been for many years. It's my wish that if someone hasn't read this book,,,followed through with it,, that they please do. Like you, it has changed my life.

    In the Fall Challenge I didn't do well. So I was DETERMINED I would,, WOULD make my 5%!! Not only did I make it,,, I lost 3 added lbs!!

    I'm doing a low carb, high protein, moderate to high fat, gluten free, paleo/primal type diet - trying to get rid of the processed foods. I am increasing my exercise - trying to walk more every day.

    Good to see you on here again and hear from you! I have not been very active here but am doing good. With a job change has come a lifestyle change, and that means figuring out how to fit everything in that needs to happen, including healthy food prep and enough activity. Hope you are doing well in Arizona!
