I am 30 years old, have PCOS, and have been on the South Beach Diet since May 1, 2010. As of the time that I created this page (10/28/11), I have currently lost 68 lbs and want to lost 32 more.
UPDATED: As of August 2013, I strayed from the South Beach Diet, but also had my gorgeous daughter Piper Rae on 12/19/2012. I just re-started the South Beach Diet to lose the remainder of the weight I want to lose... I gained some back obviously, but I have about 50ish lbs to lose now!
1. Lose total of 100 pounds:
- 68 pounds lost, with remaining 32 pounds to go!
2. Improve overall health.
3. Maintain PCOS symptoms by:
- having normal blood draws (thyroid, insulin, testosterone, etc.).
- having normal women cycles.
4. Improve exercise habits.
5. Improve sleep habits.
6. Improve overall motivation.
I have been on the South Beach Diet since May 1, 2011. I have had unbelievably fast and effective results with this diet, which has become more than a diet but a lifestyle change in my eating habits.
I have not exercised formally since beginning my weight loss. I tried a Zumba video at home once, and it was fun, but currently my motivation to do much more than improving my eating habits is LOW.
I am a 30 year old female from Indiana. I am a social worker, and I love my job. I have two dogs that deserve much more physical attention than I give them.
I love music and going to concerts and festivals. I enjoy camping, hiking, any water-related activities. I dislike intolerant people, running as an individual activity, and insects.
