This is my third time with Spark. It works when I stay focused. I have been know originally as Sherrymer and then Mama Hawk.

I am a 71 yo widow who is the mother of 4 wonderful children and the grandmother of 9. My 3 sons (fathers of all my grandchildren) live in the Chicago area and my daughter and SIL live in the Dallas Area. I don't see eough of my children as I would like but do keep in close contact with them via e-mail and cell phone.

I hav e had a weight problem all of my life. I can't blame it on having children as I had the problem going back to 5th grade. I have done the WW thing back in 1968 and lost over 200 pounds. I have been up and down my whole life. Now I need to lose at least 50 pounds to be able to have knee replacement surgery

With the help of all my Spark friends, I know that I will be able to do this

I am a retired Nurse Educator. I have had diabetes for almost 30 years and have kept it under control. I still take only oral medications.

My Goals:
my first goal is to lose the first 50 pounds so I can have new knees. Then I will be able to do my most favorite form of exercise and that is walk. I will track my food daily and check in with my Spark teams


My Program:
Due to health problems, I can only sit in a chair and exercise. I have many and do them throughout the day.

I plan on tracing my daily intack and water is no problem for me as I love water and it is my drink of choice.



Personal Information:
I was born and raised in the Pittsburgh, PA back in 1938 and moved to the Chicago area in 1968 with my DH and 4 little ones. In 1999 my DH and I moved to Arizona. He passed away in 2002. I love to sew, quilt, scrapbook,craft and develop recipes. I have 4 cookbooks with my publisher that are waiting for this economic slowdown to be published.
