I'm 28 and I live and work in Northern Nevada. I'm a type A positive personality, smile maker, OCD, hippie, who is passionate about one thing - HAPPINESS! I got the idea for this website from my best friend, Brendark. I have a husband and two dogs. We are outside people, so pretty much anything outdoors is right up our alley! I have a great job that I simply adore, friends who are always there for me, and with the help of sparkpeople, I hope to live my best life! My story.... well, I was always the chubby one... the one that Doctor's would tell "Instead of eating a whole Snickers bar, try eating half." or "You have the FAT gene, so this will always be a problem for you." Well, that didn't work, and I didn't listen or educate myself. At 25 years old I found myself pre-diabetic and pushing 250 pounds. I had to do something about it, cause let's face it - I was killing myself through food. It was toxic, mentally unstable, unhealthy, and just NOT good for me or anyone around me. It was time for a change.... so since January 2010, I've lost about 90 pounds... I'm 5'6" so a healthy weight is anywhere between 118-155 pounds so now I'm just going with what feels right! And I can use all the help I can get!

My program is that knowledge truly is power.....calories in versus calories out = whatever it takes to be a happier and healthier me.
Basically, about me...
I was THAT girl... the one too fat to be a ballerina, the 'fat' cheerleader/spirit squad girl, anything that started with 'the fat' was me... I got told once by a perv that he liked his girls 'thick and juicy,' um, ew! I hit my weight all time high in the summer of 2009 when I weighed in at 237lbs! I can't ever believe that I ever weighed that much! At New Years (2010) I got really sick and ended up loosing some 15ish pounds, I think that was natures' way of telling me it was time for change. In April 2010, I lost about 28 lbs, weighing in at 208. The best thing for me to do is really admit it and not hide it anymore.
Let's do it guys! Trust me, If I can do it, then so can you!

Hey! I'm doing good -- and NOT shopping. I've been trying to avoid the mall. Haven't lost weight, so no need for new clothes right? And then Maurices goes and sends me coupons... decisions, decisions...

Thanks for swinging by my blog! I agree that people who go to the gym to socialize are rediculous! Lucky for me there are not too many of those at 6am! You are right - it is MY time. I can't let anybody make me self conscious during MY time!
