A life of Balance and Moderation.....

Balance and moderation are not synonymous but they are harmonious.

Balance is defined:
: the state of having your weight spread equally so that you do not fall

: the ability to move or to remain in a position without losing control or falling

: a state in which different things occur in equal or proper amounts or have an equal or proper amount of importance

Moderation is defined:
: average in size or amount : neither too much nor too little

: neither very good nor very bad

: not expensive : not too high in price

I see balance and moderation as going hand in hand. They compliment and complete each other. I truly see that balance is a constant changing force. It is perpetuated by external forces but to feel balanced I have to feel right inside. The Yin and Yang of life. Moderation is something that I have worked hard to be at peace with in my life. Coming from a background of fairly extreme restriction BOTH in calories AND in food types, moderation has been a continuing work in progress. I worked very hard to find peace with food and being able to eat ALL kinds of foods making the emotional connotation the same with all kids of foods. I can now eat a wide variety of foods and have zero guilt and zero remorse for anything that passes my lips.

My Goals:
To feel at peace with who and what I am. To live a full life with balance and moderation being the driving forces.

My Program:
For fitness I simply lift the things. Walk. Enjoy forms of movement that feel good.

I am currently doing a 12 week lifting program and walking daily.

Spinning and walking for primary forms of cardio

Yoga whenever possible

For nutrition, I am working on Georgie Fear's Lean Habits.

I am a SAHM of 4 wonderful kids and married for 21 years.

    Are you interested in a Challenge?

    The Biggest Loser goes for 10 weeks. It consists of 10 teams participating in weekly Fitness and Nutrition challenges. The Spring challenge will be getting started the beginning of March. It consists of fitness and nutrition challenges that are often in a form of a game. If for some reason you cannot do a challenge then they are modified to meet your needs. Often we do the challenge in a game form, we have BINGO and TIC TAC TOE or seasonally themed. For Winter we had Help Santa Fill His Sleigh, Run Rudolf Run and Super Bowl. If you decide this might be for you you can leave your name on the waitlist for the Spring challenge.
