Getting Healthy For Good While Having Fun

First I quit smoking - for good - more than two years ago
Right around then I stopped being active - definitely not good
Then I gained weight - not so good either
Now I'm going to lose weight and get healthy again while having fun - very very good

My Goals:
My big goal is to stop dragging around these two 25 pound bags of rice with me every day.

I want to be able to run, bodyboard, hike up hills with ease. And here's my newest one. I want to mountain bike for hours.

I want to look good in and out of clothes

I want to burn 3500 calories per week

Mini Goals
8/11/08 - 175 Pounds (my pre-quit weight and the weight I was before I lost weight before)
9/27/07 - 160 Pounds for my AZ trip. See my boys and Santana, baby!

My Program:
I'm going to the gym six days a week. This is major because I never went to, or wanted to go to, a gym until April 2008.

I'm tracking what I eat and keeping within calorie range

I've cut out high fat foods, esp condiments, and replaced them with no fat or low fat substitutes

I'm blogging about this journey at http://journeybeginning.blogspot.com/

I'm reading about and getting inspired by other people's getting fit journies

I'm drinking at least 8 cups of water per day

Yes, I hear you on those trips back to the Mainland....Ensenada, MX and the boat did me in. It's kind of good to know that without SP, maintaining was and is possible. Good to be back at it again and great to hear from you! Keep up the great work.

Hey, back tracking again. Dr. gave me OK to get into pool and use elliptical until my surgery. Guess what, my gym has a new owner and the $1300 dollar membership fee I paid he says is no good. No gym anymore.
