Want to feel better all around.

Hi - I'm looking to feel better about myself, in all aspects. I want to be healthier for myself, my kids and my husband. I want to be able to play outside without getting winded soooo quickly. I want to be the one people look at, because I look good, not because I'm fat. I want to feel healthy, and feel pretty. I just want to be who I think I am. Not who I have become. I'm looking for a friend to help me out. Be an inspiration to each other.

Hope you are having a great week!! How are you doing with your healthier choices? We had a great trip to visit family last week but our real vacation isn't until last 2 weeks of the month. We are going camping on the Oregon Coast. Planning to relax, bike ride and enjoy some beach time!! Are you having fun with your girls in the summer sunshine?? Hope so. Hugs Barb

Hi Maggie- I will make you a deal...I will try to chat back at you every day that you chat on my page!! That should be good for both of us. One thing that I did to help me curb my calorie amount was to make a list of all my favorite foods and try to find recipes for them or new favorite foods that were just as delicious but better for me. I try to eat oatmeal every morning but add in brown sugar or fruit to take care of my sweet tooth. I love popcorn but it needs some flavor so I started buying myself 100cal microwave bags of kettle corn and adding just a bit of butter. This adds extra fiber to my day and makes a great snack. I also have started making myself salads or having a fruit smoothie for lunch and rotate it with my favorite...peanut butter and peach jam on toast and chips. I still let myself have this but have decreased the frequency, count out the chips and added in some other healthy but delicious lunch options. I also make myself log my dinner before I eat it and that makes me look at the calories and plan ahead. I love to cook and love to eat too! You are also living during a season where little girls needs fill your day. That has it's own challenges. I hope as you start a new season of summer filled with lots of fresh fruits and veggies you can find some new favorite lower calorie choices that make you feel satisfied.
