I see your profile picture is a mini long-haired dachund. Oh, how I love that breed of dog. Is it yours? I just finished reading the blog you started about family members understanding your pain. Especially a husband understanding it. Well, I love mine dearly, but he doesn't have a clue. I've spinal stenosis and have just finished with the 4th epidural shot. I'm on oxicodine, Lyrica, and celebrex. And I'm still in pain. DH gets a hang nail and it's like he needs bed rest. At least he doesn't complain about the house. Every other week we have a gal come in and do the heavy house cleaning. Our kids are out of the house so it's just the two of us - so we only have ourselves to blame for the mess. My biggest problem is DH doesn't even acknowledge my pain. He never asks how I'm feeling, he just expects that I function normally. I hope your pain is under control. Do what you can - you can't do any better than that. Take it one day at a time. Perhaps you should go to a pain management doctor to see if there's medication that could ease your pain. Good luck with the weight loss. Your dog is so adorable. LilSunFlower 2431 days ago
Hi Ally~ Thank you for that reminder to Let Go & Let God!! Perfect advice. We seem to get so wrapped up in counting calories, counting exercise minutes etc.... that if any little thing does not go perfectly we can easily fall off whatever wagon it is at the moment. I will not be derailed. I am happy to see that you are out posting more. This is such a great supportive site! Have a great day & God Bless, Wendy 2888 days ago
Your dog is SO cute!! The way you have the background with her/his picture is very neat! I'm still working on my SparkPage. It's very boring but I'm determined to spruce it up as soon as I figure it out.
I noticed you too, have a bad back. I'm waiting on results from an MRI, about the only thing I am able to do is walk and I do lots of that. I'm up to 3 miles in 45 minutes. NEVER thought I would be able to do that! Have a super day!
Welcome, it does get more difficult, I am hitting the big one next month, I wish I had started with this better frame of mind even 10 years ago!!! Gotta love dog people, Small steps are huge, remember that!! Jill 2888 days ago
