Hi. I'm Ally a 54y/o sparker since Oct 13, 13. Yo/yo'ed for months until the end of April 2014 when I went to my doctor and said what the heck? She suggested sleep apnea, hormones(ugh), and insulin resistance. Well found out I have obstructive sleep apnea (on a CPaP now) and then mentioned here IR and a buddy mentioned this book (Metabolism Miracle) which helped her with insulin resistance. Didn't do well after my trip to Paris September 2014 and reached a new high weight May 2015. I know what to do and I'm committed to doing it. This is a journey of a lifetime for me and I'm seeing it to the end.

I'm a 54 y/o mom of 3 grown sons from Virginia Beach.
Currently work for the school system as a driver. Love the job taking care of all those kids. Looking forward to sparking with my fellow sparkfriends.

Thanks for the flip flops! So glad you are back and getting off the carb cycle. It is so tough! I'm doing well. Busy, we moved at the end of February to a new "old" house and have been busy getting settled in. Put on a few lbs and trying to get those off. Training for a sprint triathlon in June so working on my swimming and I have not swam laps since high school - LOL. Hope the shins are feeling better and have fun sailing this weekend!
