It's Time To Do Me.

I started my weight loss journey on December 27, 2008 at 218 pounds. I never worried about my weight once in my life until after I had my son. I couldn't even tell you how much weight I gained during my pregnancy, because I had no idea what I weighed before. I know I ate unhealthy, worked a lot, smoked, and went out a lot and drank. I had a pooch.

When I got pregnant, I was under the misconception that you pushed out a baby and poof, you were normal again. I had my son, and was still fat. Six weeks later, I was still 223 pounds. Three MONTHS later, I was 218 pounds. Then my son's father and I broke up after 4 years. I decided, my son only has me. I need to be healthy. If I ever want to find someone to be with, I have to love myself.

I started by buying the Biggest Loser books and DVDs. By September 2009, I was 183 pounds. In Sept '09, I found SP. I joined the Winter Biggest Loser Challenge, and got down to around 165 pounds. By then, I was happy enough with myself, and I kind of fell off the wagon. I went back to work full time, and went back to school full time. I just didnt have time for exercise.

In Summer 2010, I got a part-time job. I got a gym membership, and worked out at least two hours after work everyday. I got down to about 160 pounds, but was in the best shape of my life. I met my current boyfriend...and fell off the wagon again. He is amazing...but he's one of those awful people who eats like a cow and never gains a pound (&*&@#&@#^@*&!!!!).

Now, my son is 3 1/2. I might be healthIER, but I'm not healthy. I need to be active. I need to make healthy eating and exercise a part of my life. I don't want the little baby pooch left anymore. I want to be able to run without getting winded. I quit smoking on February 12, 2012, and if I can do that after 9 years of smoking, I can do anything. So here I am, back at SP, ready to carpe diem. Because it's time to do me.

Zumba is a blast!
I don't have rhythm either, I just stay in the back of the class...we have alot of fun and alot of laughs while working out..and to be honest, no one pays any attention as to whether or not you can dance..
Just try one..you will be hooked!
I can't wait until Thursday to go back again..
How is your journey going?
Mine was not that great until this year..I have struggled alot over the last 2 years, but something just clicked this year..and to help things along, I watched a special on the Discovery Channel with Dr. Oz..and it can scare some sense into you..
Let me know if you go to a class..Do you anyone who you can go with?
Stay focused, and remember just take it one day at a time..don't think about next week or the day after tomorrow..think only about today and get yourself through your daily goals..

I am sorry to hear your day was not good. You will find your Spark again. For me it is more about doing the healthy thing-rather than concentrating on the weight. So when I start to make a string of bad choices-I try to look at how bad those choices are for my health and the fact that those choices might just be making me feel bad and be in a bad mood. Then I usually get back on track.
