Hi, My name is Allison. I am 45 years old and I want to lose 40lbs.
I weigh 154 lbs. I am starting sparkpeople by keeping track of the food that I eat and the exercise I do.

Hi, My name is Allison. I am 45 years old and I want to lose 40lbs.
I weigh 154 lbs. I am starting sparkpeople by keeping track of the food that I eat and the exercise I do.

For the first and second week, I am eating less sweet stuff and cutting back on my eating thru the day. I am just making my own diet as I go along so that I do not feel like I have to follow exact rules and regulations. I am going to buy the book, The Kind Diet by Alicia Silverstone, and I want to try her suggestions from the book.

I have also been doing a yoga DVD every day to get started exercising. I do not want to overload myself for now, so I am trying to do at least 1 exercise thing a day.

It is September now and I have slipped off my diet for about 2 weeks and I am back on now starting right now, today, Sept 13.

My favourite movie is Moulin Rouge.

I am a belly dancer and I teach a pre-teen belly dance class at a dance school where I also take lessons for dancing.

I love going to the movies.

Way to go for recognizing that the key to getting fit is to make it a choice - not an obligation! I have been looking for a good yoga DVD for a while, so I was wondering if the yoga DVD you mentioned in your introduction is one worth sharing. Good luck! emoticon
