I have always been the fat girl, the slow girl, the unpopular girl. But, with some will and determination I no longer feel like the fat girl and soon I hope I won't be the slow girl anymore. On my 26th birthday, I sat back and looked around me. I don't want to be the fat girl anymore, my life is too important for that. I decided to track my foods rigoriously to hold myself accountable for what I put in my body, and I started making twice weekly trips to the local recreation centre ...
I have always been the fat girl, the slow girl, the unpopular girl. But, with some will and determination I no longer feel like the fat girl and soon I hope I won't be the slow girl anymore. On my 26th birthday, I sat back and looked around me. I don't want to be the fat girl anymore, my life is too important for that. I decided to track my foods rigoriously to hold myself accountable for what I put in my body, and I started making twice weekly trips to the local recreation centre for cardio, strength training and swimming. Including exercising when I'm vacation. Since mid-July I have lost around 30 lbs, but shockingly I have lost inches, many inches! I'm no longer embarassed to wear short sleeves or tight-fitting shirts because I no longer feel like the fat girl. I have been setting myself short term goals so I don't lose focus. I was forced to re-set my Xmas goal a number of times, constantly lowering the number. As of 12/06/2010, I have set a new goal of 240lbs for July 2010. I hope to one day weigh 199lbs or less, I am aiming to hit this goal in May of 2012. Wish me luck! As of 7/4/2012, I have not made any of the goals I originally set out. I am now working on eating healthy and walking the dog more often. As for numbers, I am hoping to lose 50 lbs in time for New Year's, 5 months away.

My Goals:
I am starting a battle with my bulge to slim down. I am hoping to have the choice to shop at regular-sized clothing stores.
My Program:
I am monitoring what I eat with SparkPeople, as well as exercising at the local gym and pool. I hope to work out 3 hours per week at lunch.
