When people ask how are you doing this - the answer really is simple. Hard work. Dedication. Commitment to myself. Commitment to nourishing my body and exercising.

I so desperately want to tell you that there is an "easy" fix. That this product or that product will solve your problems for life. But truthfully? It really it all about eating well, and exercising your body.

Imagine how cranky I was to finally have to admit that! But it also isn't about any normal everyday exercise - it is about progressive, step-by-step building from ground zero to reset where you are to get where you are going.

YES you can. Yes I can. Yes I am. This is a lifetime journey. This is not a 12 week program. This is a lifetime.

Very few people love themselves enough to dedicate themselves to a lifetime of commitment. We love others enough. We love them enough to marry them forever - but what about loving ourselves enough to commit to ourselves??

I hired a trainer. A talented gifted man who is properly educated in the science behind exercise and the science of how the body uses nutrients to feed itself and develop properly. I could easily justify that spending $600 a month on a trainer is ludicrous. And then I tallied the cost of being morbidly obese. I tallied the meals out, the lunches out, the grocery bill. I tallied the medical bills, the medication monthly, the humiliation and I realized that all of those things were costing me more... and so I married myself. I fell in love with myself. And I invest in myself for the rest of my life. To honor, love, cherish and obey myself. So that when I am 70 I will be riding my bike along the beach. I will be as comfortable as a 70 year old can be.

I hope that I inspire you to start - and if you have started to continue! We are WORTH it!

My Goals:
I want to ADVENTURE and be comfortable doing it!

I want to ride a horse in Spain!

I want to be comfortable on an airplane!

I want to be able to sit cross-legged in a pair of levi's.

I want to be active at 72.

My Program:
I am taking it one hill at a time.

First, I am being honest about what I put in my mouth and assessing where my calorie content is. Currently I am HORRIFIED.

Second, I am walking soon to be elliptical training my way to movement.

Third, I am here everyday exploring the site and trying hard to meet wonderful people with similar goals who want to adventure!

Personal Information:
I'll be 51 on Easter Sunday - and although I thought that I would be all healthy and happy I have slowly allowed the weight to come back on a little bit at a time each year - and viola! I'm right back up here again - I will not grow old and be immobile or incapable!

Glad to see you are still on SP. I am back again. This time I am determined to reach my goal. I had gastric sleeve surgery in August and have lost 56 lbs. after reaching an all time high of 309 lbs. Feeling much better now and looking forward to getting stronger and leaner.

Hope you are doing well. Stop by my page and say hi. I posted a new blog about my surgery. It has really changed how I deal with food. Starting to exercise this week after a long time. Will have to take it slow. The hardest part is getting started because I am afraid of not being able to do it. Must get past the mental block. I know I have more energy so I should be fine.

I would like to do a 5k in the Spring. That is one of my goals. My weight loss goal for December is 10-12 lbs.

Have a great weekend and keep Sparkin'!
